We don't know what "IT" was. There are many types of standardized polygraph test formats. Some more accurate than others.
The key point is that if the test subject doesn't have real jeopardy, the test isn't accurate. The test subject must believe that there are consequences to not telling the truth. No jeopardy, no valid test results.
Also, we don't know what pre-test admissions she made. If she admitted that she didn't remember everything or specific people, sure she's going to pass that test.
It's all a big word game the left is playing to influence the voting public.

I think this has been where they always were, they were just well camouflaged and we gave them more credit for decency than they ever deserved.

This was the right play, though. They didn't have anything. They knew from the beginning this will be a party line vote with maybe Collins/McCain going one way and Manchin/Heitkamp going the other. Best case, it derails the nomination, hands Trump a public loss. Worst case, it mobilizes their base a little more for the midterms.
I mean, it's not like they're going to pivot away from partisanship on this - there will never be another Republican SCOTUS nominee that is confirmed 98-0 or whatever.
