Matt Gaetz acting like he represents the House is hilarious. Do what you gotta do to get that hot one liner in there though, that's why the people of Florida pay ya, to get vicious twitter street cred.

Spoiler alert: The House will vote to approve and Gaetz and the Freedom Caucus will explain that they'll get them next time.

You have no idea why Matt Gaetz has a strong position in negotiating for his positions in the House do you?

How about this solution: They tell us that the money we have sent Ukraine represents about 5% of out annual defense budget and it's a good investment because the money is for the defense of the US in the long run. If that's the case, require the new moneys sent to be taken from our defense budget. That'll stop it real quick on both sides of the aisle

On this particular issue? Practically none considering the bi-partisan support.

Gaetz's primary negotiating position has been their support for bills that require republican only support, or internal issues (such as speaker leadership). Most of the bills that pass have to go through a Democratic senate, and a Democrat president so their ability to unilaterally force legislation is pretty much zero. The best they can do is negotiate for things they want (Like Matt wanted that funding for his Shiny new Helicopter training facility in his district).

What do you think I'm missing though, please educate me.

Define imminent. It will happen in the next month or so. Go kick that football, though, Charlie Brown.

I would support this, a balanced budget is critical to long term stability.

Of course you're talking to the dudes who just supported two different party presidents running up 10+ trillion dollars in debt over 7 years. So you might as well be pissing into the wind.

He's good for making dramatic sound bites and grilling people in front of the Senate before they're confirmed anyway.

Pretty much all the ones you hear about in the news are worthless. The folks trying to get shite done typically keep their head down because you can't build support by slapping your dick in everyone's face.

Like the Dem Party’s MO of persecuting and prosecuting political opposition isn’t “slapping your duck in their face”. The self delusion is plain out dumbfounding for those who retain relative sanity. This is why wars are fought. Strap in.

I'm sure Gaetz is aware that his sensible and logical views are not shared by the majority of the uniparty House, nor by the pathetic leader of the uniparty House.

You're missing the fact that if Gaetz held no leverage on this issue, they would have passed a CR, with Ukraine funding, already.
