When I said, present government, I didn't mean Obama. I just meant modern day politicians in general.

Incorrect. A Section 8 tenant can be kicked for a few things, property damage is just one. It's just (barely) paper-worky enough for most landlords to not bother with it. Granted, many of the tenants wouldn't give a liquid shite about getting evicted over property damage but the point is that ability is there. Many landlords just don't use it.

But if the tenant is a minority, they can turn around and sue the landlord for housing discrimination if the landlord attempts to evict them. No matter how frivolous, it is expensive for the landlord to fight. Therefor, it makes section 8 tenants, practically unable to be evicted.
