Is this making Israel’s army apart of the U.S. armed forces? The House Armed Services Committee voted on it. Seems a few people on both sides are against this. Israel’s army has no place connected to ours.

This doesn’t seem like the best idea and shouldn’t surprise anyone with how this whole Iran debacle has played out.

Seems unrealistic on the surface.

Unrealistic as in fake or at a minimum greatly exaggerated? Yeah I’d agree. Common sense dictates it, at least in my opinion.

Having zero knowledge of anything associated with this…

Unless they become a territory and we get to rename them 'The (something antisemitic) land of America'.

Do you have trouble actually reading? The Golani brigade is now a part of the 10th Mountain, I guess, by your idiot driven level of "understanding." This is from an anti Israel site:
quote:

ection 224 of the Chairman’s Mark of the NDAA establishes a new U.S. Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative aimed at accelerating joint research, development, and integration of Israeli origin and jointly developed defense technologies into U.S. military systems and programs of record. It directs the Secretary of Defense to designate an executive formalize deeper cooperation and integration across emerging and existing domains, including counter-drone systems, missile and air defense, quantum computing, AI and autonomous systems, cyber and electronic warfare, directed energy, and defense industrial base co-production, while facilitating pathways from R&D into procurement.

Do you realize how dependent we are on China and Taiwan (One China!), and how much R&D, and products we currently already use from Israeli defense and CyberSecurity firms (including in the private sector?)

Section (a)(1) seeks to integrate American and Israeli research and development programs by encouraging the direct use of Israeli-manutactured technology into the US systems, including its military programs.
This would render the United States dependent on Israel's provision of such technologies, thus giving Israel a significant amount of leverage over future American policy anc infrastructure. This would go beyond the typical bilateral relationship by significantly enhancing Israeli leverage through control of critical U.S. military supply chains, and may also inherently give preference to Israeli technologies over U.S.-origin competitors.

I'm not sure if you're picking up what I'm putting down. We're already "dependent" (every country that licenses tech and production for mil items already is) on Israel for a ton of stuff that's advanced. Your proposal is, frick them, they have used it, proved it, but we need to build our own, not using their patents or tech? Do you work for Mitch McConnel or something?

We can get tech fast, or we can rely on the always reliable R&D and production schedules produced by American manufacturers. I don't give a shite how we get troops anti drone tech, I want them to have it now. And at least we don't have Murkowski and McConnel fighting about which state is going to get some goddamned federal grant to support native American health care policies controlling it.

And that is not just Israeli focused, either. We let South Korea license AEGIS, sell them F-35s, but we won't let them build our ships "for security", since our shipbuilding sucks arse, using the same technologies? Madness. Pro tip, all of our armed services work directly with ROK soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines on a daily basis, so they know exactly how our tech operates, whether it is a howitzer, an Apache, or an SM-6. But build our ships in1/4 of the time, no way. Too risky.

Our supply chain is fricked, but most of it is really centered on Taiwan, because like .mil, nearly everything in your house, including your fridge and oven, includes chips from Taiwan and China. And yet we choose to subsidize water usage heavy chip production plants in Arizona, because it gets votes.

Modern facilities now reclaim, purify, and reuse up to 80% to 95% of their water.

I know the answer to this.

Boysie Bollinger and others in the Military Industrial Complex didn’t let that happen because of the money it makes them.

Boysie didn’t support Mary Landrieu for her social policies; he supported her because she was able to keep the dough rolling in by building coast guard cutters.

Boysie’s now retired living the uptown New Orleans life, and Gary Chouest owns Bollinger.
