As I said earlier I don't think the vast majority of Democrats, particularly elected Democrats, want their political opponents murdered.
However, I think a lot of this is also a ploy to make it seem like it wasn't their comparing Trump to Hitler and saying he is a threat to democracy that helped lead to this.
