Ironically, he made his career guest filling for conservatives with a brain on CNN back the 1990's, then he moved up by guest hosting for Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh hated him because he really bought no insight into issues but got him a syndicated show to follow him because he was starting to get an audience at FOX
