That sounds like a straw man

Not a straw man. I asked you a specific question. We both know why you chose not to answer. There is no process in the legislation that allows Congress to remove anyone from an "independent agency". Because its created to be independent, aka unaccountable

So how would that work exactly? A sub-committee would vote to remove someone? Lulz

Another question you wont answer

I asked for your example of Congress saying, "Well they are independent. We cant intervene"

The question prior to that, I said was irrelevant.

Sure there is. That process is the basic legislative process.

Congress could unwind the Fed (assuming no veto from the President), even.

But all of this is irrelevant and ignores the Executive's role.

You're creating a strawman, then using ignorance to add more strawman layers to it, and then are acting like me not responding to that is some victory

They create the agency under the executive branch.

In layman's terms its no different than producing a good and giving to the consumer.....it is now the consumer's to do with as they wish, the same way the supreme court ruled it exists at the executive branch's discretion.

Should not be wasting the supreme court's time on this lawfare nonsense.

Lulz. Of course.

I get that you didnt want to tell us how those independent agencies are supposed to be governed, if governance wasnt written into the law. Only that Congress COULD write governance one day

Meanwhile, the Supremes will likely rule against you yet again. And you will still say "I told you so"

Heres your chance to tell us so, before they rule

If Congress has failed to include direct governance of an agency, by an elected official, who will the supremes determine is responsible for said governance of that agency?

1) The Exec?
2) They are allowed to operate outside the reach of the voters (aka self-governing)?
3) The Congress?

Well, heres your sign

The markets expect an independent, central bank,” said GOP South Dakota Sen. Mike Rounds, who cautioned against firing Powell. “And if they thought for a minute that he wasn’t independent, it would cast a spell over the forecasts and the integrity of the decisions being made by the bank.”
