In the grand scheme of things of what's wrong in this country...it can always be traced back to lawyers who become judges, politicians.

It's become standard procedure now, if you're in a wreck...call an attorney, if you fall down on someones property, call an attorney, the list goes on.

Read up on the hot coffee award. The plaintiff was a passenger in a paeked car. She admitted fault in spilling the coffee, but it was heated to 190 degrees. She spent a long time in the hospital and required extensive skin grafts. It was not a frivolous lawsuit.

All the Trumpkins misunderstood Trump in the primaries.
That said, why do we want one of the only defenders of the Constitution in the Senate OUT of the Senate?? Whatvsense does that make?

Do you not watch TV or listen to the radio ads? They claim if your in an accident, you should call them first. Hell, one law firm here just put on it's first responders appreciation day. How pathetic is that?

I'm not going to speak for Ted but what ever he does I hope its for the best of reasons to do the most good.

The original case I remember is the one...that I think started all this sue everybody mentality, is the one where the old lady was handed her coffee at McDonald's and spilt it in her lap, sued and was rewarded I don't really remember the amount, but it was a lot back then. Afterwards every restaurant in the country put caution signs up telling people that the coffee is hot. "Lawyers"
Every thing made in the world today starts off with not get sued approach, then they proceed.

Sessions needs to admit he made a mistake, unrecuse himself, and end this stupid investigation

quote:Yeah. I've seen them. My wife and I have been in minor accidents, on both sides of the fault spectrum over the past few years. No lawyers were involved so clearly many people aren't sue happy.

But again, the ambulance chasers are obviously the most advertised, and amongst the most questionable in their profession, but they are a subsample of a subsample of lawyers.

As I recall, there was already a warning, though it was deemed insufficient.
The issue being that McDonalds had a blanket policy that coffee had to be served at a temperature so high that it could not be consumed and if spilled would give very little time before severe burns. It was a temperature higher than their peers and they had several incidents leading up to this one too.
I think you only partially are familiar with the story and may be romanticizing a period just before that which wasn't real (the warnings and lawsuits both already existed even in the very specific realm of McDonalds coffee yet alone wider)

It's only fair. Trump deserves an investigation that's precisely as non-partisan as Bill Clinton's.

Does 2+2=x require a political commissar to decide who is allowed to find x?

The bottom line is coffee back then was hot...hence be careful. As far as me "romanticizing" anything...I try not to stay up to speed on coffee lawsuits. My point being every single private sector entity...and private citizen somewhat has to walk on egg shells because out there are a million lawyers looking for a buck. looked it up...her clumsy arse caused it and got $2.86 million for third degree burns in 1994. I get third degree burns at work everyday by 9:00 AM.

Yep! The EXACT reason why our healthcare is as shitty as it is today!
Tort reform would go a long way.

I'm not saying Trump is being investigated, but Comey's and Mueller's investigations are two different things. And if you believe reports from earlier in the week, Mueller is looking into Trump's finances.
