Agreed

”will focus on students’ civic responsibility to their school family, community, country and our global society.”
So, basically you have a student/parent base that just doesn’t like the current pledge which is dedicated to allegiance to the same country referenced in the to be created new pledge.
A pledge to the nebulous “global community.” I do agree with you that it is a good idea to allow these loons to isolate their children.
I am one county to the north of this particular county and well, it wouldn’t fly as a practice.
I don’t like the public school system for many reasons, but no pledge of allegiance? C’mon.

You have a myopic view of tariffs. Tariffs have a bigger role than tax revenue. In fact, I'd argue that the objective of tariffs are primarily national security through the economy. In other words preserving and ensuring the resources required for a strong and robust national security and not having to rely on resources through other counties who have the potential to be our enemies.
That is some scary nonsense there. I can sort of buy temporary tariffs as a tool to push for a more open market.
I cannot buy that we need to inflict crippling tariffs (which would be permanent under your worldview) in the name of national security. I think that's both poor economics and poor for national security. I would rather have economic relations with another country and reduce the chance of war, than start isolating ourselves like some national version of a doomsday prepper.

e would have MUCH better schools then.
Not sure why you got downvotes for this, but I agree.
No more government schools.
Parents send their kids to the school they choose.
What's wrong with that?

Trumpkins hate anyone that voice a criticism of any Trump policy because he can do no wrong in their mind.

All they post are insults of me when I post articles they don't like to read.
Dude, stop, they are baiting you. Plus you have hijacked your own thread. Instead of school choice this thread will devolve into a debate about tariffs. Since most on here don't know the difference between a tariff and a queff they will reduce to insults

They’re statists, plain and simple. Sure it’s flag waiving big government with a crew cut, but they’re still anti school choice statists. The big government crowd can look like Trump fans or Bernie fans but they’re all pathetic.

How the hell do you come to this conclusion reading my post? I’ll quote my summary sentences:

But in general as a rule of thumb I'd err on the side of laissez faire economics almost every time. Almost.

Tariffs are seriously hurting my business (construction - rebar)-
But I am all for them because Trump is breaking our pansy arse Prime Ministers back with them and in a year and a half I never have to hear uh, er, uh again
