I always find it interesting and somewhat frightening, how the meek and mild Christian, will insult an unbeliever in the most vile manner with no qualms at all
Calling someone an "idiot" is the "most vile manner"

No. We are a nation under God, at least according to the nation. Slavery was an unfortunate occurrence this nation under God ridded itself of. The process of that riddance led us to recognize on our coinage that it is "In God we trust".
We were a nation under slavery before we put "In God we Trust" on coinage.

True Christians do not do this.

You seriously make me laugh. You claim to be a "Universalist" which is total bull shite. The bible does not even allude to the fact that all persons are ultimately going to Heaven, quite the contrary actually. You also claim that slavery was OK until "at the right time" (after thousands of lives being lived in complete misery and suffering) the holy spirit changed the hearts of Christians, and that today he is doing the same with homosexuality. Again I am glad that we have you to interpret all this for us so that we can remain abreast of which parts of the Bible God wants us to follow and which ones the holy spirit has changed our hearts about.
But if it makes you feel good about yourself. You won the debate, you always win, you are just sooo smart, gooood job! There, is it nice to hear someone else say it, in place of you claiming it for yourself all the time?

So where does it condemn slavery? saying "proof positive" is not an answer to the question of "where does the bible condemn slavery?"

Yes it is.
No it isn't.
Please, tell me, where is it in the Constitution that this idea of America as a Christian nation is outlined?

Disagreeing with fact is your prerogative, I guess.
You argued that your claim was self-evident. I don't agree with that. Sorry.
I have no idea what your picture has to do with this.

Do true Christians believe in hell? Because I can't seem to get a straight answer on this one either.

Sure it does, but it has been shown repeatedly on this board that you know nothing about the Bible.

Never said that. You shouldn't have to make things up to win an argument. Your consistent lies are a detriment to the board.

Actually, I don't need a message board for intellectual satisfaction. I have a real job for that. Another thing that sets me apart from you, I'd suspect.

So quoting someone is evidence of being incapable of original thought? hmmm, that sure is an interesting stance, especially coming from someone with a sig quote about the same debate I posted a Hitchen's quote about.

Yes. The bible is clear on this.

I have shown you multiple verses, and even some with the original translation of the Greek words, that show that the Bible speaks of hell as being eternal. You have yet to show me one verse that points to the contrary. All you say is, "you have to read it as a whole" Whatever the frick that means.

So we agree.
Well take this up with your fellow Christian TK41.

No, you didn't. You exposed your lack of knowledge repeatedly, however.

Context can be a difficult thing to grasp. Are you over the age of 15?

The slavery in the bible is nowhere near the same thing as the slavery that we think of as Americans. The slavery argument against Christianity is bogus.

This is a silly question. Are you claiming tacit approval of everything not specifically condemned in the Bible? Once again showing your ignorance. (Hope that vile comment doesn't offend you too much)
