Ranked voting.
Based on who won the seat, it means Palin had a plurality of votes and the other GOP voters put her dead least.

Or just didn’t rank her at all. I guarantee every dem vote didn’t include her in their ranking.

They didn't tabulate the ranked choice votes until tonight. Errr.. I mean they had two weeks to fudge the numbers and get what result they wanted.
Why would they not count the votes and tabulate the ranked choice on the same night. It's like they want to create conspiracies for fun.

If you are allowed to leave people off a ranked choice ballot, why even give a choice? Because no GOP candidate should ever rank a Dem or vice versa.

There was no other dem. The dem was in 1st. There were no dem votes that went into the count today. The only votes that went into the ranked choice county today were the 3rd place Republican and about 3,000 write in votes. It was over 16,000 Republican votes who put the dem 1st and gave her the win.

Alaska is republican but not conservative. I forget the number but an insane % of the population gets some kind of government assistance.

nah I think the smart move now would be for Palin to drop and Begich be the nominee.
The reason I say this is because apparently there are like 20K voters that rather have a ultra progressive in office than Palin.
I'd imagine if we had a look at Palins second place votes they'd all be Begich
