They were essentially a client state for some time. Iran is also much different than explicitly Arab countries, as well. They shouldn't be grouped in culturally with them as we are so wont to do.

I know, but they are a Muslim state now. I'm just saying MAYBE there's hope these people will eventually mellow out, since it wasn't that long ago that they weren't living in such an extreme fundamentalist state.

2nd generation muslims are the problem in Europe, it will be over once the 3rd generation comes into play.
And they will be a problem for us too if we don't do everything we can to prevent that from happening here in the United States of America. Trump knows this and is doing everything he can to dodge that missile.

It's fascinating, whenever a "home grown" terrorist slaughters some folk in Europe, the "leaders" immediately come out saying it had no connection whatsoever to immigration policy. Liberals here scream the same thing. They'll have blood on their hands.
