I agree on both counts with you…I’m not ignorant to the propaganda portion of the rally.
The deeper point is how this was going on with no coverage by our American press of the rally which one would think newsworthy while Republicans and Democrats beat the war drums in lock steo against this supposedly “dark power”.

I’ve done plenty of time on the “front lines” in places I’m sure you have no history with nor proclivity of ever serving in.
I’m not a Putin apologist and thank you for the unsolicited attack on my intelligence.
I love the first principles the USA was founded under and not this disastrous mess we’re in now.
Ever been to Eastern Europe? Russia? Ever walked in an Orthodox Church there? Talked to the folks who lived through Communism and lost loved ones because of the evil there?
I have and I would say that area of the world is a place that has a resiliency and strength that is only emboldened when they see their old nemesis reforming on their borders and clanging war hammers under the pretense of “democracy”…
Democracy to the East is like moderation to the West…diametrically opposite.

I know the answer honestly. They’re an extremely nationalistic people. That’s part of the reason they dealt with communism for 60 years. Whatever western ideals you wish to apply to those people forget them.
