Funny, I didn’t see a single specific action being described. More generic BS like “interfering in democracy” and “meddling”.

Russian agents “hacking” the DNC is not meddling in an election in and of itself. It may be a crime, but again, zero clarification on how any of their actions “meddled” in an election. Countries (of which the US is THE single biggest offender in history) spy on and support various political agendas in other nations. It has been going on since the beginning of civilization.

We meddle in foreign elections all the time. When it happens to us all of a sudden we play the innocent victim. It's stupid and I don't really care what Russia did

This. Until there is specific information that the ‘Russians’ did more than phish the DNC, and spread fake news articles, I could not care less. There are Americans who did and do the exact same thing constantly.

The frick? The were pretty specific and the tools used to hack were heavy footprints. There is zero chance that they come out with this without an extensive forensic case. Its laughable to watch all you Trumpsuckers excuse this type of behavior by basically saying the Russian government is more credible than the FBI.

Pathetic on its face. Why do you hate America so much?

Trump and company have ONE move they can take to get themselves out of the trouble they put themselves into...diminish the standing of those accusing them. Nixon did it. Clinton did it. Menendez did it. Jim Jordan is doing it. Doesn't matter the political stripes, figures who done fricked up have no recourse but to try to sway public opinion against those investigating or accusing them.

Then you read this board and realize how willing people are to buy into the smear campaign. It's incredible. fricking pawns.

What a statement. What happened to conservatives these last few years?

One look at the Q thread shows you how far imbeciles will go to protect their belief systems.

Trump hasn't lied to you in the last year or two? Dude he legit lied to you this morning when he said he was in Scotland the day before Brexit and predicted the Brexit vote. He was there the day after. It's a freaking lie. The problem is they come so often you get numb to it. But your President lies to you on the reg.

For debate purposes, let's assume you're right that we "meddle" in other countries' elections all the time, Fine. So because of that, you're totally ok with other countries doing it to us? Where does that end for you?

While hyperbolic, you can't possibly criticize someone for believing the FBI is corrupt at this point

Neither has any credibility at all.

I’m still waiting on examples and an explanation of how we get from accessing the DNC servers to “meddling in an election”.

Because if spying on political parties is what you’re hinging on..... LOL.

Our government, both political parties, and every other government on earth with the technological capabilities to do so does this.

Until someone proves that the Russian involvement went beyond the DNC and fake news articles, this is all a dog and pony show. Show me that votes were changed or voting systems tampered with, and then you’ll have my attention. But not with facebook memes and some DNC emails, something abt bored computer nerd could do

Hell, he got caught in a whopper this morning by saying that he never said anything negative about Theresa May in his Sun interview. He's LITERALLY ON TAPE, recorded by the Sun, from just yesterday saying May has botched Brexit.

Today's indictment states that voter information on 500,000 Americans was stolen from an unnamed State's voting rolls. Why? What are they doing with that info?

What practical effect do you think the Russian “meddling”, as described so far, had in the election? Actual effects on the election or voting process.

Because if the answer is “not any more than any citizen with advanced computer knowledge could do”, then you’ll understand why a large portion of the population rolls it’s eyes at this saga.

I don't think Russia did anything more than they typically do in our elections.

I am right, you can look it up. I'll provide a nice starting point:

quote:

LA Times: The U.S. has a long history of attempting to influence presidential elections in other countries – it's done so as many as 81 times between 1946 and 2000, according to a database amassed by political scientist Dov Levin of Carnegie Mellon University.

LINK

quote:

Theoretical and empirical research on the effect of foreign electoral intervention is weak overall; however, a number of such studies have been conducted.[1] One study indicated that the country intervening in most foreign elections is the United States with 81 interventions, followed by Russia (including the former Soviet Union) with 36 interventions from 1946 to 2000 - an average of once in every nine competitive elections. [2][3][4]

I don't care. There are bigger threats that I encounter day to day like driving my car down the street, sitting at a red light, and possibly choking on my food.
