People decided what they wanted last November.

You’re in a fractional minority.

Melt on.

When did they deal with war or nukes after they enacted the economic policies you're promoting?

I know youre slow on the uptake, but the polices they enacted created their explosion onto the world economy

The Japanese economic miracle refers to a period of economic growth in the post–World War II Japan. It generally refers to the period beginning in 1955 that got them to a time where the per capita gross national income of the country recovered to pre-war levels

Golden Sixties and shift to export trade

The period of rapid economic growth between 1955 and 1961 paved the way for the Golden Sixties, the second decade that is generally associated with the Japanese economic miracle. In 1965, Japan's nominal GDP was estimated at just over $91 billion. Fifteen years later, in 1980, the nominal GDP had soared to a record $1.065 trillion

Look at what exporting to the US did for their economy

Where do you think that $1T came from? American consumers

It is dead unless you want a shithole country.

I suspect you do. Youre just concerned others are passing you by

Yeah, because the corrupt, bought-and-paid-for corporate media has always been 100% FAIR AND OBJECTIVE when dealing with President Trump.

The frick does this have to do with this conversation in any way, shape, or form? You legit have unbiased, completely objective history to go off of for the effects of tariffs, and you want to ignore that because this is TRUMP. And Trump can do no wrong.

It is truly amazing to see how blind some of you will allow yourselves to be to legit ignore history in order to blindly follow a politician when they are as blindingly wrong as Trump is on this.

Glad you're back to the time period you chose and not moving the goalposts.

And how did that work out for them, ultimately?

Japan has been in economic shambles for almost 20 years due to shitty economic policy (including tariffs). Look at that PCGDP and % of GDP growth the past 10 years

We want to be like Japan...why, exactly?

MAGA is an ideology of jealousy and envy, just like Progressivism.

They believe inclusiveness trumps greatness.

This is what I cannot wrap my head around. You only need to go back to what transpired after Smoot Hawley was passed to know how this is going to play out, yet these are the responses that come left and right, like we have to wait and see how this is going to play out before passing judgment.

We have literally seen this play before, but the actors of the last time we did this are all dead and gone, so now we are going to learn this lesson again by repeating it.

It is the definition of stupidity and insanity.

MAGA is jealous that educated baws surpassed their factory jobs.

Its a philosophy of envy and jealousy, and the desire is to run American Excellence in favor of economic inclusitivity.

Ya;ll have become progressives.
