So I havent been watching much news lately...(purposely).
So please catch me up on why all of a sudden, after 50 years this has been taken up by the court?
In my lifetime, it's been viewed as something that would be difficult to overturn yet here we are 6 mos before midterms and suddenly this is possibility?
Being the untrusting person I am, sounds suspect to me.
Particularly considering some of the stuff the court didnt take up the past 2 years.
Thanks in advance!

Because we have more actual biological evidence and clearer arguments to support that abortion is murder and not within the scope of the federal government to enforce

It's the libs rally cry for the midterms so that they will forget the complete cluster F of this administration.

It’s not the first time (see Planned Parenthood v. Casey)

Between the science, states passing laws banning abortion, and having judges who look at the constitution and not politics RvW has been on life support for years.

The court hears an abortion case like every other term. Roe did not settle the issue and this opinion is acknowledging that and sending it back to the states.

Roe was an abortion of Constitutional interpretation at its start.
Getting the Federal government out of this is a good first start.
It now moves to the state arena.
50 experiments and resulting experiences will lead the way forward.
Of course, this assumes the lame duck 2022 Congressional Democrats do not try to cobble together a Frankenstein law for Brandon to sign! Expect swampy GOPers to suddenly “evolve” and help it pass. This will ultimately be found unconstitutional as well before the 2024 election.

Blunt but from what I've understood, accurate.
