The victory for the R’s was predictable. Turnout significantly lower in a special election, yet the media is fixated on making the narrative about the 40+% for the left. That number only goes down if the right needed to be motivated here.
This corner of Georgia isn’t going red anytime soon.

That’s fine but you should also note the 60% drop in turnout in the special election as well.
2024 General ~ 260K votes
2026 Special ~ 100K votes
Drop-off of ~ 60% in turnout

Looks like a young John Travolta. Good luck to him.

So the Dem candidate yesterday got fewer votes than the Dem candidate got against MTG in 2024?

It’s the same democrat.
2024 - 134,759
2026 - 57,030
Number of raw votes dropped but percentage of the vote went up given the drop in voter participation in this special election.

Didn’t @powerbottom or one of the other leftists start a thread a month or two ago crowing about d flip in this race
That's how you know which "I'm a conservative and I voted for Trump 3 times BUT..." nerds on here are really MSNBC disciples. The MSNBC crowd fully thought the Democrat was going to flip that race. They were all glued to the channel last night waiting for the election results.

The Dems poured money into that race, like a 4 or 5:1 margin.
It also didn't help that there were 12 Republicans in the Primary, and not all the other Republican supporters were enthusiastic about Fuller.

1..It was a special election and that has low turnout
2..Election is during Easter/spring break, Republicans are at the beach
3..Democrats spent @7 million to flip the seat and ran a black man.
4..25% of district are hispanic or black and population is growing. 90% democrat vote
5..67% of district is white and 20% of that is crazy liberals.
6..Is this another moral victory for the Democrats?
