Progs would point to internment camps as a result. Funny, but not the best angle to argue from.

I didn't realize he was a racist until you mentioned it...

So female reporters were asking stupid questions back then too. Some things never change.

Can you imagine what they would say about some of the anti-Japanese cartoons of the WWII era?

Well some of the antiTrump cartoons of today's era are pretty explicit with their hatred.

On the other hand if there were no interment camps maybe the Japanese would have tried more espionage because they would have some camouflage. Germans tried some and weren't that successful. Maybe the Japanese would have been better at it.

Given the millions of dollars per potential death we throw at threats now if we transported ALL of our 2020 sensibilities to 1942 that would have been very pricy, might have hamstrung the war effort.

As a matter of fact, interring Japanese citizens is exactly analogous to our virus fighting.

You get the difference though between a politician and an ethnicity though yeah?

Trump is White. The left has no problem with that kind of hatred.

It's worse than just a politician though, violence is also directed at Trump supporters. If the left practiced what they preached they'd clamp down on a lot of the language and imagery used to critique our President.

Hatred of someone is hatred no matter the comparison.

It is almost impossible to find Bugs Bunny cartoons with some of Japanese “jokes”. I love those, but they would raise all kind of hell for that these days.

Before my grandfather passed away two years ago, he made that same observation. The man voted Democrat almost his entire life.

He fought in WW2. We have pictures in our home of him in Europe tearing down Nazi flags.

He stated today's media would have openly rooted for the Japanese and Nazis. There is no way we could have won WW2 with our current media.
