I have a system at my job that automatically tracks everything I do on a daily basis. At any time, I can log into the system and see my progress, or lack thereof.

My manager meets with me once every two weeks for about 10 minutes. Since I have been doing this type of work for nearly 20 years, I am really good at my job. Very efficient too. I've been offered three promotions which I turned down. I don't want to manage people again.

I would never worry about accountability or having to explain my value. I've been working from home for almost a decade now.

I LOVE what is happening to the federal workforce. I love the tears, the daily lies told by the media, etc. I know several of these people IRL. It is past time they earn the money that they are handed......money that is ultimately robbed from me to pay them.

Don’t you work for the state? Have some self-awareness.

Lmao. The vitriol from this board is crazy.

The $5K you pay in taxes is immaterial. Calm down and go back and make sure the fries don't burn.

You enjoy being wrong, don't you?

I haven't worked in a state job for 17 years now.

Don't even get me started on what I witnessed when I worked for the state. Part of the reason I am loving all of this.

Have some self awareness if you are going to call people out for something you literally know NOTHING about.

Words can't describe how much I loathe assholes like you that mock the people that pay for this grift.

I wish all I paid was 5K in taxes. Nearly 40% of my income goes to some form of tax.

You can frick right off with your self righteous crap. You aren't better than anyone here. Anyone that actually works and pays taxes is contributing something.

frick off with this faux self-righteousness.

I've been called groomer, pedophile, etc for the slightest of pushback against MAGA. So go frick yourself.

I'm just giving back what MAGA gives.

Never claimed to be.

Sure but the "i pay your salary" claim is a bit rich considering almost none of each of your tax dollars goes to payroll for bureaucrats.

No need to be seething this hard on a fine Sunday morning.

When I was an investigator for Labor (State job) I had to do this. Every case I worked on had to be detailed and my progress was reviewed daily.

Every ruling I made was double checked and I was questioned. Being a responsible human with common sense, I understand because its highly regulated work.

Anyone having issues with this is questionable. Many jobs already have this level or greater accountability.

Fed tax, state tax, property tax, sales tax, and the list goes on and on and on.

I bet if you added it all up it would be pretty damn close for you and anyone else on this board that works and makes close to or more than 100K.

But at least I got $500 back this year since my 17yo counts as a tax burden. I wish it was still $2k. He's more expensive now than he was when he was 16 lol

Calling out a prick that insults someone who works and pays taxes isn't "seething".

If you have a job, no matter what it is, I respect you. Period. If you are paying into the system, you have a say as to what your money is being spent on.

It really isn't a difficult concept to grasp, yet all you seem to care about is insulting your political enemy, even down to insulting people who work at restaurants. My kid works at a restaurant. He is learning accountability at an early age. You are really going to hate him when he's older and productive.

Funny how all you progressives love to insult low wage earners, yet that is the vast majority of your voting base. Well, that, along with the people who pay nothing.

I have self-awareness I’m not consuming myself with what strangers do at their jobs or how anyone spends their money or anything else. I think obsessing over every tax dollar is an interesting way to live. Can’t be good for anyone’s physical or mental health.

see Roger attempting to hurt my feelings by continually calling me a “low level employee” because I refuse to look at work emails unless I’m physically in my office.

I was feeling sick when I arrived at work on Monday (headache, cough, runny nose). My co-workers convinced me to go home by 10am. I've been there ever since.

I did this exercise and my effective total tax rate is 18.82% and 26.16% (if you count SS and Medicare taxes) and I made $167K gross last year.

Again....wtf are you doing with your tax planning? lmao.

Stay out of California and New York, baw!
