Not at all. I’m saying that almost 100% of the time that I hear that phrase, it’s used in a disparaging tone and it’s meant to degrade that particular person because of their sex or race.

It's used in the same tone as nepotism.

Both are reserved for people who are fecking up and should never have been in that situation since their performance doesnt match the role.

People who didn't earn it.

It's no different than nepotism.

No one who's succeeding get hit with it.
No one is going to care how they get there as long as they kick arse when they get there.

You think it was pure coincidence that a black man was selected to fill the spot of another black man on the Supreme Court?

Can we admit that they were both DEI Hires?
GHWB and Biden tagged them with that starting point.

It's a different question if they were qualified, but the people who appointed them were not interested in their qualifications

I can admit neither would have been selected if they were white.

I’m not a fan of either.

At this point I don’t know if anything that is not racist.

Allegedly, black people are never racist and can never be considered racist.

Like my other post said, it's an artificial rise, not organic. If you need to lower standards to move people of one race up over others it doesn't prove the point you want it too.

I’m good friends with a man from Madagascar. He’s actually the godfather of my oldest child. In all the years I’ve known him (met him at Christ the King at LSU years and years ago) he’s never mentioned anything about American black people. How do these conversations about American black people even originate? Who just organically brings up a whole demographic of people up in casual conversation?

JFC. I’m glad your relationship with one man from Madagascar is indicative of all. ??

Then why doesn’t anyone say Clarence is a dei hire? Why is it the left that hate him?

Plenty of people on the left have said that for decades now…

Racism was virtually non-existent. And then Obama was elected.

Relations were certainly better than they ever had been at any time previously. People were pretty much getting along.
