McConnell wants to do it in normal order. He needs 7 Dem votes.

He has every Democratic vote to pass the bill that the House passed this month (which the Senate also passed in December).

Every single Democrat will vote for that bill.

So the question is, why won't McConnell let them vote on it?

You moron, you're not getting 2/3rds on a Nancy Pelosi bill.

Ah you want them to negotiate with themselves. You said that the other day as well. Brilliant.

2 million DACA was offered last time we went through this charade. But we might never know what compromises could be made because Pelosi won’t even come to the table

The bill that passed the Senate 100-0

Oh, that's cute.

Do we "pass bills" verbally in the chamber now?

I don't even care about a wall, bama. It's a political stare down at this point, and McConnell is doing the correct thing in supporting his parties "leader". If it crumbles around Trump, so be it. But his party defying his position is political suicide for all of them back home. Again, just politics.

All your points have been pointless rhetoric so far. At this point, trump folds, Pelosi folds, or we continue. There's really not another option that will work for Senate Republicans.

It would need 13 GOP votes. It's a nonstarter.

It's not a Pelosi bill, it's technically a McConnell bill since the Senate passed it first 100-0 in December.

No, but that dumbass up there said Republicans were willing to negotiate. They're not, and his inability to show anything they've offered in exchange for Democrats giving in on the wall demonstrates that pretty clearly.

This is a democratic shutdown.

The dems are starting to realize (somehow it took this long) that they are going to get the blame for his. They are petrified of Trump standing up and giving the state of the union with a shutdown in place.

The longer this lasts, the better. It's awesome to see the left like yourself continue to argue it. It ensures that it will continue and is a clear indicator that you guys haven't figured it out yet

This is 100% incorrect. Trump looks worse and worse every day the shutdown goes on, check the recent polling. Also, Pelosi's approval rating is going up every day.

You aren’t getting our guns and you aren’t getting to keep Obamacare. That has to sting.
