Redistricting Question - are these Dems getting blocked from running for office?

They all talk about how it’s an assault to Democracy but aren’t they still allowed to run for those seats?

They can run in the newly formed districts. There is a political war happening right now in Florida over it. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is now running in District 20 which is historically a "black district". The black politicians are now freaking out because they only want to be represented by a black person. The chaos is great for Republicans because it is a historical Democrat district. What the blacks want is what SCOTUS just overruled. They don't want equality. They want special treatment.

Correct. I'm waiting on it to happen at the local level. There are several districts in TB-SP that look like octopuses because they are racially drawn.
