Red Sox Are Woke, Too

Another reason to stop watching baseball, if you haven’t already.
“The suit was brought by a coalition including Asian-American and white parents in Boston’s Chinatown and West Roxbury neighborhoods. It asks Judge William Young of the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts to halt the Boston school committee’s plan to allocate 80% of the seats at prestigious “exam schools” on the basis of what the parent coalition calls a “ZIP Code quota” scheme.
How is that an issue for the Red Sox? In a “statement of interest” filed with the legal brief, the team backs “a more equitable enrollment process” so that exam schools “better reflect the demographics of the entire city, rather than primarily its more affluent neighborhoods.”
“Over-reliance on a test, for which the majority of students lack extra opportunities and financial resources to prepare and practice, causes these prestigious schools to overlook talented students who would succeed in the classroom, thrive in this environment, and enable the schools themselves to reach their full potential,” the Red Sox explained.“

Maybe the red sox should folow their own advice. Make the team makeup strictly on demographics.

I haven't watched pro sports in years, amazing how much time I got back.
