Call the cops...

"911 - there are people trying to break my door down. They say they are going to kill me. Please help, my wife and children are here, they are going to kill us...please help!"

That will help. There was a threat of "imminent danger" to you and your family.

You can do anything you want, as long as you're ready for the consequences of your actions.

Should you shoot is a better question, and the answer is no, you shouldn't shoot someone for knocking on your door because you're probably going to prison.

The door was kicked and nearly torn off the frame. Obviously self defense laws differ by state but in LA, a woman home alone under that type of duress would be very unlikely to be convicted or even charged.

Yeah, you shouldn't shoot someone for kicking your door, either.

Are you a woman home alone?

An angry mob outside kicking at your door is a justifiable reason to shoot imo and in the opinion of the law in many states.

No but she was

This is from LA's law
quote:

If you are lawfully inside the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle and held a reasonable belief that the use of force was necessary to prevent the entry or to compel an unlawful intruder to leave or the intruder was in the process of forcibly entering or had unlawfully and forcibly entered and you knew or had reason to believe that it was occurring or had occurred you would be justified.

Knew this would come....not a badass, been there done that in real life and thus why I am the way I am now. Spend a year deployed as an Advisor and you likely pick up some experience.

Cool story.

Name the states where you don't stand a reasonable chance of going to prison for shooting someone for kicking your door.

No but she was

In Louisiana?

Banging on the door isn't breaking in.

People gathering in large mobs outside your house chanting threats who start banging on your door are a threat to not only your life, but your family's as well.....shoot as many of them as possible just to be safe and take the chance that there will be good Patriots on the jury who will let you walk.

Better yet, how about you find some functioning brain cells to use, sit tight in your house ready to shoot if they get in while you wait for the cops, and not take a chance on getting someone on your jury who would convict you based on the eye witness testimony of the people in the crowd?

Would I be pissed off at them? Hell yes. But am I going to be so fricking stupid as to risk rotting in prison because of them? Hell no.

Kicking the door hard enough to break it?

You'd not take aim?

This is just another "test run" by the violent left.

I started a thread two years ago when they were rioting at Trump rallies and some of the Never Trumper repubs were OK with it. I let them know what they were approving and where it would lead. I was more than right.

This is no different.

Look at the responses here today. This is actually a solid learning experience.

The right thing to do is call the cops and wait...

BUT NOW...

You have a situation where a woman was home alone with kids (the crowd knew this) and they started to kick in the door.

They never entered. That wasn't the intent.

The entry will come later.

Think of this almost like test polling.

Today you have people everywhere defending the mob and telling the victims that you shouldn't shoot or defend yourselves. That is what they want.

Now on to step two. It isn't a matter of IF with the violent left, it is a matter of when.

One of these morons will kick in a door and be dealt with. They will then become a hero.
