If a person wishes to get attention, right now, while "serving" in DC that person must be willing to speak out against POTUS Trump.

He is doing his job. Congress has the authority under Article 1 Section 8 to Declare War, not The Executive Branch.
Rand and Trump are aligned at least 80% of the time. On that 20% when they differ, it’s mostly about how Trump does things (proper procedure) vs what Trump is doing (policy goals and aims). Trump frequently attempts to bypass Congress due to how gridlocked the legislative branch is at the moment.
Oh, and Rand is usually correct. The reason these safeguards exist are to prevent presidents I don’t agree with from using these bypasses to oppress me. I don’t want Joe Biden to suddenly decide that I am a Venezuelan drug mule and unilaterally drone me to death.
