Tariffs will have to be long term. If you need pictures, I can oblige.
Please show me how an industrialized nation suffers compared to others that are not. PLEASE.

There already are Canadian, Mexican and Chinese tariffs.
The detractors for using US tariffs for trade negotiation leverage always leave out the fact US products face tariffs in the EU, UK, Canada and other countries around the world.

Yep. Short time pain for long time gain.
There is no long term gain because taxes don't create wealth. Taxes have never created wealth. You will pay more because you're now subsidizing American industry, and you're letting the Federal government decide which industries get protection and which don't.

Also, in some industries it is very important to our national security (steel, copper, aluminum etc).
That's an entirely different matter. I'm all for protectionism when it comes to national security issues, but I understand there's a cost there.

The tarrifs are reciprocal, which means we're only placing the same tarrifs on items that other countries are placing on OUR American products.
We have blanket tariffs on steel and aluminum, that by definition isn’t “reciprocal” because it doesn’t just target countries who have tariffs on us.
I really don’t understand how this is so hard to understand.

Interesting? It got Washington rich. DOGE proved that.

Good. Next time, take it a step further and don't bother replying.

Damned if I know but I've had some version of this conversation a half a dozen times now.
Flats: If you put a tariff on something it will cost consumers more.
PT: No it won't, because they'll just eat the tariff and not raise prices.
Flats: If the price doesn't go up, how does that help US manufacturers?
PT: It just does, cuck. Melt bitch.

That's some pent up rage, man. I'm sure you were happy when Biden was in charge, but things will be ok.
This country was fricked before Trump put Biden in the White House.
Nice try.

That is for national security such as ammunition, bombs, etc. it sucks we have to do that but it is necessary.

Yes, by transferring wealth, not creating it.
