I think this is a great jumping off point for an equity discussion. Unfortunately, every one of these “discussions” I’ve participated in skips over these cruel facts and jumps to issues of whiteness. The leftist lap it up, the rest of us try to have a discussion but get blocked out and nothing productive happens. I swear there are race peddlers who give zero Fs about this and are just trying to make a buck off of these “facilitating” gigs. I mean, if you want others to change their behavior shouldn’t you less off with some humility and acknowledgement of how “you” are going to about behavior modification?

Why don't black people have a man in the house as often? Is it just a natural thing? If you believe that Black people and white people are equal, then how do we account for the huge gap in single parent household? It's pretty obvious something else is affecting it, we just need to figure out what

I completely agree with Candace Owens. The biggest threat to the black community is fatherless households.

Thomas Sowell has been preaching this for close to 50 years. Sadly, not nearly enough people know who he is or care to learn from him.

What event started the downward trend of black two parent households? Why did we have significantly more before that event?

Do you think as a society we are more or less racist than 100 years ago?

I was on the Board of our booster club for awhile and had the conversations. Amazing the difference in parental support and involvement.

I have tried to have this conversation with progressives before.

The numbers dont matter to them.
The narrative does and they lap up all the CRT BS.

You show them these charts and they say you are blaming the victim again.

When they start from an assumption that they treat as undisputed fact- which says if there were no oppression of the races all outcomes would be equal between the races - you are literally dealing with a cartoon version of utopia for them.

what equity means now

It is a BS word. Does not mean equality, just like diversity and inclusion don't mean what most think they do. CRT is changing word definitions while we sleep.

People like Sowell, Dr Carson, and LTC West should be role models for young black kids, not some thug rapper or high-school dropout that plays with balls for a living.

No I don't and IF there were at what point does that excuse finally stop?

Well because the women are having sex with anyone and the dude doesn't stay around orrrrrr the dad is a criminal and is locked up. BOTH of those things can be controlled to NOT have that outcome.

Again life choices have consequences. You can not be this dense. Maybe if our govt didn't incentivize to have children out of wedlock then a 2 parent house hold MIGHT be more normal in the black community. This isn't a racism issue it is a culture issue.

I'm sure I could make one as the data is well known to show the ill-effects of LBJ's policies.

What are the racist institutional practices/policies/laws that remain?
