Olddawg, for some anecdotal evidence, take it for what you will, I had friends in high school and college I'd have debates over right vs left issues and they considered themselves liberal. Today, those same people don't even know what to call liberals nowadays other than extremists. The democrat party is controlled by extremists now. the Reoubiican party is controlled by the establishment right now but that too will hopefully change.

I'm not even really addressing what happened today. Hell I didn't even know something happened until a couple hours ago. I've been cooking pizza in my Kamado Joe and drinking beer.
I'm giving a reflection of the left for the past 7 years or so now.
