Lawyers are nothing compared to finance bros (more specifically financial advisors) in this regard.

Why?
That's like asking why 1 and 2 are different. Or red and blue. Or living and dead.
The law and morality are 2 very different and separate things.

Common sense is the battle cry of the educated and inept

Ah, "common sense", the cure for hypocrisy since Sumer

I got charges dismissed once for a guy who killed another guy. Was that immoral?

There is your problem. You use your profession as an excuse to ignore morality. Or or you have no morality or moral compass. You seem to perceive life only through the letter of the law. That is a lazy empty way to go through life.
I hope that you or anyone you love are never accused of a crime.

This should be a, really simple question to answer.

I could do white collar criminal defense, however. Usually nobody is raped or dead, and the defendant is usually a dirtbag. Even if my client were a dirtbag, he deserves a defense. And some of those rules are disproportionately enforced against smaller businesses when companies that are really corrupt aren’t ever charged with anything.
How do you overcome getting a criminal off you know is guilty?

Trials are not a search for the truth. That's philosophy.
Trials are about evidence, within the rules and framework of the legal system.

Exactly!
They can explain it a million different ways, but it all boils down to wrong and right.

Literally not what it boils down to.

How do you apply your individual morality to a macro system with thousands of moving parts, inputs, outputs, and varying factual scenarios?
You seek the truth.

Some people live in a fantasyland of their own making.
It really is fascinating.
It really is fascinating.

Trying to explain this gracefully to pro se clients is one of those parts of lawyer life that makes you wan to quit.
Explaining that just because they are certain something happened is irrelevant, and that they have to acquire it and present it in the proper evidentiary form (or else it won't be considered), is like telling a young child Santa doesn't exist.

It’s not my job to “get him off” it’s my job to make sure that the prosecutor follows the rules of due process, and actually proves that he committed the crime.
I provide legal, not moral advice.
I have boundaries. I am not morally responsible for the acts of another, and neither are you.
We’ve all committed sins. Judgment on those belongs to the Lord.
