Question about anti war America first

Why are these people such as Massie, MTG, and Joe Kent complaining about supposed low munitions when their main agenda is anti war? Do they really think they’re not projecting weakness by being anti war and truly thinking no conflict will ever happen?

If America first doesn't mean having the ability to defend what is the point? No, I don't think a ground invasion will work (we would ramp up production leading up to one) but I want to have the option of bombing Canada at any moment.
