Multipolar world = A Eurasian anti-white, Communist world led by Russia and China.

Russia will be one-third Muslim in 15 years

Putin cares about traditional cultures.

So weird when Putin is an honest politician and the US president is a liar with dementia. Strange times.

This seems like the thread where everyone who’s “not rooting for Putin” roots for Putin.

I had not even considered much about those days in quite a while.. intentional?

and I ask myself 'Was this a part of globalist forever war in some way'?
Not really.
It's complicated, but was more about religious and ethnic differences. Similar in some ways to the eastern Ukrainian oblasts' situation.

Tito was an interesting character. He kept Yugoslavia and its republics unified. When he died, the republics eventually broke up.

Ethnic enclaves found themselves on the wrong side of borders. Serbia attempted to claim/capture ethnic Serb areas mainly in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Montenegro was more or less supportive of Serbian efforts, though technically neutral. Croatia and Slovenia opposed.

Croatia and Slovenia are more traditionally European, and Europe (later NATO) took their side. Serbia fell into the old Yugo-Russo sphere, with Russia as an ally.

There were two major Balkan wars. The Bosnian War (1991-95) in which NATO took an active air support role, and a couple of years later, the War in Kosovo (majority Muslim) when it broke away from Serbia. It ended with the Yeltsin-backed peace agreements in 1999.

I'm not sure democracy can grow deep roots in Russia.

Maybe someone at NATO came to the same conclusion.
Appreciate the perspective. I guess it's a good an explanation as I've heard. Not particularly satisfying, as I think the NATO stuff was easily avoidable, and a huge catalyst to Putin's rise, and current tensions. But that's where we are now.

It was but where you and I differ is I believe it was immaterial to Putin’s plans.

But instead of Russia attacking Ukraine (and Georgia a few years ago, both non-Nato members) he would have also already gone after the Baltics if they had not joined NATO.

The whole “NATO lied to us” shtick is a typical Russian tactic of blaming the foreigners for everything bad that happens.
