Putin isn't going to nuke it. He wants to bring Ukraine back into the fold, not destroy it.

I agree. I don’t like the invasion but if he was nuts we would be seeing him get equal airtime instead of stock photos where he looks angry. Meanwhile we get regular live updates from Zelensky. What is Putin saying that’s so dangerous for us to hear?

It has effected leaders with overly long reigns throughout history. Putin has been Russia's leader longer than anyone since Stalin and he's good through 2036. That goes to your head in a bad way.
The exception might be Pericles who ruled Athens for 30 years and did an excellent job. But he had a totally different attitude than most leaders. When the public got pissed about his policies he just said: 'OK, I quit. Find another guy.'
They responded with 'NOOOO! We were just kidding. Put the crown back on.'

They were never Ukraine’s nukes, they were the Soviet Union’s nukes and all parties involved worldwide didn’t want the possibility of those nukes ending up on the open market. It was a rational, sane decision by both sides to have those nukes dismantled and shipped back to Russia. The Ukraine had zero say in that decision, as well they shouldn’t.
