Because businesses don’t have the right to mandate injections onto people they already employed. Putin is protecting basic civil liberties. You don’t get to fire employees and ruin their lives just because you want to inject them with an experimental vaccine after you hired them

Here in the states you can do that. Not in Russia.

Explain the correlation between private business decisions, rape, and pedophilia.

Sounds like a false equivalence to me, but I'm willing to see if you can expand on your point.

Was there a memo put out about how best to defend Putin?

Framing Putin as a champion of liberty is certainly one angle.

It’s not about defending Putin; it’s about defending the people

Putin is a president who stands up for what is in the best interest of the Russian people.

Then why are so many doing exactly that?

Because Putin obviously recognizes REAL fascism and did the right thing to protect the people he represents in this situation.

Not really. You just personally agree with the outcome.

No. I understand the danger and threat of corporations and money dictating public policy, i.e. fascism.

You think Putin is a fascist?

That isn't fascism. That's lobbying.

I suspect you don't have nearly as much of a problem with the lobbying you agree with.

I didn't say that, but I bet I'm a lot closer to being right than you are.

Do you want to have a discussion, or is this more of a drive-by?

Lobby involving money, perks, and anything besides the exchange of information is nothing but cloaked bribery.

And fascism loves bribery.

Yeah, that's nice. My point stands.

So basically, you're in favor of fascism, so long as it's fascism you like.

Wrong. You like politicians representing whatever/whomever gives them bribes? Because that is exactly what 'lobby' has become in this country.

You sound more like an anarchist than a conservative. You think businesses should be able to do whatever they want to both customers and employees.

This might come as a surprise to you, but you can still be a conservative without signing an anarchist suicide pact.

I don't generally like politicians at all. I vote for politicians who best represent my interests and my values. That's a separate issue from the "lobby."

I generally don't see people making this argument call out organizations like the NRA or NRLC, or at least not until they're cornered and don't have a choice. You're probably at that point.

Go ahead and call them out, Mr. Hogg. Tell me how I have blood on my hands because I've given the NRA money.

Incorrect. I simply disagree with the position at which you draw the same line I do. We're talking about overreach by the federal government, not about abolishing the federal government. You really should avoid making accusations if you can't even be bothered to understand the basic tenants of some idea.

Put differently, I suppose you'd be fine with the federal government stepping in to tell me I cannot ban you from my home if you aren't vaccinated. Maybe you think I should be able to walk in to your home, eat your food, and call your wife a whore.
