Reporters were only badasses against trump because they knew he didn't have the support of the establishment. They'd scream and demand he answer their questions. They would throw tantrums.
Against Biden, who has the support of the establishment, those reporters are docile, timid little bitches.

That was over two years into Reagan's presidency and was the first decision he fricked up. Plus he survived an assassination attempt which would automatically cut him some slack on people's opinion of the job he was doing. Biden is eight months in and has fricked more things than Freddie Mercury.
