I can't copy the provisions of his plea deal, so there is a link below. It appears the government went back on his plea agreement by recommending an "upward departure" from the sentencing guideline.
I wonder if this "departure" has anything to do with him being a Democrat. If that is the reason, do any of you see a problem with an enhanced sentence based on political affiliation?

I like it. We need to lock up more democrat convicts for longer periods of time. Make him a felon, take his right to vote. Completely disenfranchised democrats with low access to the economy sounds great to me.
