The correct taxonomy:

The Marine Corps is a partner, not a division or a department, of the Navy.

Space Force is likely to be a similar arrangement with the Air Force.

I know I was screwing it up when I sent out that oversimplified response. But I deserve to get called out on- I was in the Marines!

I think the more technically correct way to put it is that both the Navy and the Marines are two independent branches of the armed forces, each of are within the US Department of Navy, both of which are answerable to the Sec. of the Navy.

You can almost hear the Enterprise do that "swish" sound as it flys by.

ETA Do you think this will help Trump garner more of the nerd vote?

Interesting question. Trump commands a large percentage of the nerdy memester-types. Not so much with the hipster Silicon Yalley soi-algorithmatists over at Twattard & Insta who love to shaddow-ban and ban-hammer conservatives. Those pussies love getting pegged in their port by the Big Tech USB-C plug.

However, assuming there were some within that group with low enough soi levels, Space Force could possibly spark a small, underground movement where SF fans meet in bunkers to discuss space travel and temporarily relieve themselves of their nonbinary guilt & gender-rigidity.

Sadly, not enough to do much impact in terms of a vote for Trump.

T-shirt and lounge pants at a minimum. I may buy a patch too. Actually, I will definitely buy a patch too. Funny too how after they officially declared it the sixth branch the other day Elon Musk said, "Starfleet is born."

Yeah. It's a fascinating story. It's one of those stories too that is strange because it pops up in circles of people with extremely high pay grades.

An example. Like I said in the last post Elon Musk the other day declared Starfleet is born.

Well we all know who Elon is, but what's wild here is that Werner Von Braun once wrote a story about the establishment of a Martian colony. It's not really a fictional piece from the sense that it's still used as a theoretical field manual of sorts for people who plan this shite at NASA. Anyways, in the story he told the Martian colony is led by a man named Elon.
