DT45 will have 2 more justices appointed. RBG will be out by death, or resignation b/c of health. Bryer retires, he was just hanging on like RBG to hold off Trump.

7-2

btw: Demote John Roberts and place either C.Thomas, Gorsuch or Alito as Chief.

just saying.

all members on SCOTUS vote on a leader to be head justice

they ask who wants it and then take a vote

no one else other then the SCOTUS themselves has authority to decide who thew head justice will be

I have never raped anyone, run trains, or thrown ice at a person (I did splash water on an a-hole when playing poker). Trump, pick me.

The President picks the Chief Justice when the chief justice spot is vacant.

....not to discredit you, but google it.

Like the Associate Justices, the Chief Justice is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate. There is no requirement that the Chief Justice serve as an Associate Justice, but 5 of the 17 Chief Justices have served on the Court as Associate Justices prior to becoming Chief Justice.

John Roberts went straight from the D.C. Appeals Court to Chief Justice.

It was pretty unusual. Bush II nominated Roberts to the S.Ct. but, before he could be confirmed, Rehnquist died. Bush withdrew his nomination as a Justice and re-nominated Roberts for Chief Justice.
