plenty of people cheering for California to burn.
I think that's an overstatement. They were pointing out that California's stupid decisions had consequences.
However, even some where, NO ONE WAS CHEERING THE LOSS OF HUMAN LIFE!

I made the huge mistake of getting updates from the Texas Reddit page this morning. Predictably, they’re blaming DOGE and staffing cuts at the local NWS offices. Morons

Feeling just gutted this morning as grim news continues to trickle in from the Hill Country. Those beautiful children.

they are having big rains in the burnet and marble falls area too. this is the colorado river watershed. lake travis has risen 7 feet since yesterday. more to come. good thing it was as low as canyon lake.

I read an article that parents rushed to the scenes to try to find their children.
God be with them. There is nothing worse.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Kids are still missing and this demon went straight to blame Trump

You’re full of it. We were all in support of FedGov involved - which he did. Trump solved their problem they were too incompetent to handle.
No one wanted houses to burn but everyone knew they would bc of the non-maintained brush. Was only a matter of time.
You should take back what you said. Not cool.
You people want to make up some new fricking reality like that shite didn't happen. This place is no better than the places and people you all claim to hate. Buddy, the same shite happens all the time here.

Is this counting the missing girls???
No. The girls are still listed as missing. The confirmed death count is bodies recovered.
Unfortunately, these numbers are going to go up.

I've seen this in several places. Comments on an AP article even included something to the effect of...this is what these parents voted for...
We are talking about 20 something missing little girls and there is an element of society that is more concerned about scoring some political points than their safety.
I can't really process that. At what point do you lose all touch with your humanity and trade it for some moment of gratification at the suffering of someone you don't even know because you assume they don't share your politics?

Uneducated dolts.
Any NOAA budget cuts are just proposals and not yet enacted. They are cuts for FY2026 and require congressional approval before they can go into effect.

These are people that run their cockholsters behind the safety of a social media account. Would these same demons run their mouths to a parent or another member of the community face to face? I highly doubt it.
Liberals are disgusting.

Just terrible. I have kids that age. I can’t imagine.

So the River is falling right? A girl I know in San Antonio is bitching on FB about the debris in her yard. Not bitching exactly, she hates snakes. She's handlin' her business but not cheerfully.

Every waterway in the area is continuing to rise, and it’s still raining.

On DU there was a thread saying these are white Christian rich girls “who’s parents most likely voted for Trump” so who cares If you want to know what kind of people are posting over there
Those are the types of people who will be guards at the gulags if they ever seize total power.
