You first, Vatican.

Lets see what a UN committee chaired by Saudia Arabia has to say about people being able to practice Catholicism freely.

Then preach to us about the virtues of global governance

Not surprising the Pope calls for Global governance.

There is ONE thing standing in the way.

The armed American citizens.

It's almost certain that a Pope will be the False Prophet of the anti-Christ. That false organization is set up perfectly for it.

Francis needs to stick to religion. Politics SHOYLD NEVER be in his wheelhouse unless he's calling out actual human rights abuses.

So out of touch with the overall American people and getting on board with an agenda without any common sense. A politician in his own right. And why is the Pope always been a white man? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm?

I would rather have a complete global economic collapse and societal breakdown than global governance.

Central to a just and integrated development is a profound appreciation of the essential objective and end of all economic life, namely the universal common good. It follows that public money may never be disjoined from the public good, and financial markets should be underpinned by laws and regulations aimed at ensuring that they truly work for the common good. A commitment to economic, financial and social solidarity thus entails much more than engaging in sporadic acts of generosity. “It means thinking and acting in terms of community. It means that the lives of all are prior to the appropriation of goods by a few.

AP: Catholic Church lobbied for taxpayer funds, got $1.4B
By REESE DUNKLIN and MICHAEL REZENDES July 10, 2020

quote:

NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. Roman Catholic Church used a special and unprecedented exemption from federal rules to amass at least $1.4 billion in taxpayer-backed coronavirus aid, with many millions going to dioceses that have paid huge settlements or sought bankruptcy protection because of clergy sexual abuse cover-ups. The church’s haul may have reached -- or even exceeded -- $3.5 billion, making a global religious institution with more than a billion followers among the biggest winners in the U.S. government’s pandemic relief efforts, an Associated Press analysis of federal data released this week found. Houses of worship and faith-based organizations that promote religious beliefs aren’t usually eligible for money from the U.S. Small Business Administration. But as the economy plummeted and jobless rates soared, Congress let faith groups and other nonprofits tap into the Paycheck Protection Program, a $659 billion fund created to keep Main Street open and Americans employed. By aggressively promoting the payroll program and marshaling resources to help affiliates navigate its shifting rules, Catholic dioceses, parishes, schools and other ministries have so far received approval for at least 3,500 forgivable loans, AP found.

quote:

The government grants special dispensation, and that creates a kind of structural favoritism,” said Micah Schwartzman, a University of Virginia law professor specializing in constitutional issues and religion who has studied the Paycheck Protection Program. “And that favoritism was worth billions of dollars.”

quote:

Even without a full accounting, AP’s analysis places the Catholic Church among the major beneficiaries in the Paycheck Protection Program, which also has helped companies backed by celebrities, billionaires, state governors and members of Congress.

Sitting on billions, Catholic dioceses amassed taxpayer aid
By REESE DUNKLIN and MICHAEL REZENDES

quote:

Overall, the nation’s nearly 200 dioceses, where bishops and cardinals govern, and other Catholic institutions received at least $3 billion. That makes the Roman Catholic Church perhaps the biggest beneficiary of the paycheck program, according to AP’s analysis of data the U.S. Small Business Administration released following a public-records lawsuit by news organizations. The agency for months had shared only partial information, making a more precise analysis impossible.

Pertinent song/album (OK Computer)

Electioneering"

I will stop
I will stop at nothing
Say the right things
When electioneering
I trust I can rely on your vote

When I go forwards you go backwards and somewhere we will meet
When I go forwards you go backwards and somewhere we will meet

Riot shields
Voodoo economics
It's just business
Cattle prods and the IMF
I trust I can rely on your vote

When I go forwards you go backwards and somewhere we will meet
When I go forwards you go backwards and somewhere we will meet

Ideally, I agree that Humanity should work together. However, given the utter corruption of the likely 'Leadership', such an enterprise at this point would be a painful process of herding cats. Cats who will NOT be lead and violently forced by corrupt/immoral, hypocritical 'leaders' whom they (rightfully so, in many instances) despise. The Pope had best come clean with his own 'house' before expecting the same from others.

Alan Wilson Watts (6 January 1915 – 16 November 1973) was a well-known British philosopher, writer and speaker, best known for his interpretation of Eastern philosophy for Western audiences. He left behind more than 25 books and an audio library of nearly 400 talks, which are still in great demand.

Hmm, I had forgotten about Watts, TP. I now remember his work was influential in shaping my youthful, basic perceptive paradigm. The move from the Eastern framing of the idea of 'God' and the underlying 'Rules' (Karma) was affected by Watts' insights. Might go back and peruse them if I have time.

Thanks.
