Political Graffiti

I’m in Athens today, graffiti covers everything, even vans parked on the street. The only ones in English I see are “Free Palestine”, “Kill the Zionists”, and “Zionists Not Welcome Here”. Why write it in English? Is the message meant to target and sway the opinion of American tourists? If so, I tend to immediately form the opposite opinion when I see buildings and walls plastered with graffiti. Does graffiti sway you to the same opinion as the delinquent that put it there? If I saw graffiti that said “Stop Killing Puppies”, my first thought would be to justify killing puppies.

Athens is home to Europe's largest Social Anarchist group (think antifa but more organized).
Also, most of eastern Europe really doesn't care for Ashkenazi Jews. The Balkans even moreso. Here in former Yugoslavian countries, Ashkenazi Jews are not liked at all. These countries have a long history with them.

Disembarked our cruise ship in Athens last weekend and was also astonished at the level of graffiti. Saw frick Israel everywhere.
Athens is a total shite hole. Makes NOLA look like eden. Except for the ancient ruins there's nothing visually appealing about it.

Mitropoleous Street is very cool with all the outdoor restaurants. I have never been anywhere else that compares to the number of parallel streets that are block after block of restaurants.
