Iraq has more in common with the States than with Afghanistan. Afghanistan was like going a thousand years back in time.
Most Americans can't comprehend it.
We had to tell truck drivers not to shite in the road while waiting to make deliveries. They would hop out, squat right next to their door, shite, hop back in the truck. No toilet paper.

Its not just the Afghans, its all of them. We had what was called tcn's. Basically it was locals that they contracted to work on base and they were escorted around usually by soldiers from countries that didnt run a lot of missions. The brits or french soldiers. They caught 12 of them making maps of the base and trying to get homemade bombs on base to set off. We had tons of incidents on bases in the aor.

And to think we were killing Taliban who themselves hunted down and killed Afghan pedophiles…with all we know today about those in power across the world and how they abuse kids, is it surprising??

Former Delta operator John Mcphee during Shawn Ryan podcast discussed spending the night in some home while he was undercover as an Afgan and listening to this happening all night in and adjacent room.

I don’t question he was there. I struggle to envision him fitting in as an undercover afghan. But, I’d love to see what the producers of undercover boss could put together for him.

Thats this guy as a elite combat soldier.
He's one of the guys that does the shite nobody else is capable or willing to do.
He did some of these missions solo while not being able to speak any of the local language. On one mission, when questioned by Taliban patrol, he pretended to be retarded to evade detection.
This guy has wits, courage, and bravado that most of us only dream of possessing. But that is what Delta Force provides, and thank God for it.
And Im certain that you would NEVER tell this man his stories should be taken with a grain of salt!
