Remember when you had to plan your day, make early phone calls to arrange things or check on someone, basically had to be normal without cells or internet? The good old days right? Well, if folks would stop using Twitter, Facebook, and all of these other corrupt one-sided things in life and hit these rich elitists where it hurts, it could make a big change.

BTW, I do not use nor have ever had Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Myspace, or any of these other things for my personal use. Phones still have phone numbers and work just fine. So if you want to hit them where it hurts, think about this. Another reason I don't have 100,000 replys on this site either.

Have you tried calling anyone lately? People don't answer any more.

If you are that guy constantly calling and letting your friends know what you had for breakfast, who should have won the bachelor, or to ask where to get the best khakis...

I'm probably not going to answer my phone

If you are talking about making calls using cell phones (because businesses are the only places with landlines now), take a second and think who makes the software for those...

Google and Apple have become inescapable almost in dialy life. They were allowed to become too big.

Remember when you have to keep your horse fed and ready for when you wanted to go into town?

Instagram is a microcosm of where we are as Americans.

People somehow seek validation out of how many likes/retweets/followers you have. It's really sad. I suppose everyone has their own reasons why they *need* a gazillion followers but it pretty much sums up the state of affairs IMO

Neither do I or the wife. Seems like anything you can do on social media web site you can also do with a Text message.

Then your opinion doesn't mean a whole lot to people who are currently on social media.

I've used them all. I ditched them last year for several reasons, but mostly because I hate censorship and I hate the overall fakeness of how people behave...the constant "look at me" posts as if these people think everyone should know every little dumbass thought that crosses their mind...It's nauseating. Yes...I know I can customize my newsfeed to see only posts I want...and I have done that but it is still not enough.

Also, it's harder to get cancelled if people can't find you on social media.

Phone scammers broke the Pavlovian Reflex that AT&T had instilled in all of us.

82 year old Mom still feels absolutely compelled to answer when the phone rings. She cannot ignore a ringing bell. Mental conditioning by AT&T, respond to ringing bell, receive reward. Stimulus/response.
