Hopefully they're solar-powered and bio-degradable and sourced with diverse labor and carbon-neutral.

It’s crony capitalism.

Someone is going to get rich at the taxpayers expense.

Not against high speed rail. Just don’t like the staggering costs.

We spend a lot more money on a lot more stupid things.

I can see a solution for high speed rail between LA/SF, NE Corridor, or even NY to Chicago. The reality is that it’s mainly just going to be a regional solution. As long as jet fuel is cheap, the airlines aren’t going anywhere.

It's obvious that this dashing hunk of manliness knows everything about transportation and development, and he wasn't bribed w a cabinet position for dropping out of the primaries to make way for Gropey Joe.

This makes no sense. The Bay Area has 3 major airports (and I think at least 1 smaller one), LA/OC metro has 5 airports. It’s about a 50 minute flight from LA to SF. What’s the point of a rail system?

The bullet train system in South Korea is awesome.

It's also the size of Mississippi so it works.

A rail system like that could never work here. We're too big.
