This story has certainly struck a nerve with you. Do you work in insurance or something?
Nice try. This isn't really about me.

Populism is like chemotherapy imo. We need it right now. It was needed during the French and American revolutions. It was needed during and after the industrial revolution. I am a Populist today but I hope I won't always be a Populist. I wouldn't have been a Populist in 1984, for example.

That’s right.

A man was shot and killed. If you don’t cheer it, you work in insurance? Holy shite.

I agree. Which is why people are pissed at UHC. They weren’t reading the claims to “know the details of each case”. They were using a computer algorithm for blind denial.
wait until you hear about Medicaid. Will you cheer if Trump gets killed?

Okay. So Yes.

That explains your hyper emotional response.

Well, to be quite honest, insurance is nothing but theft.

I think that's a Chris Rock bit....if nothing happens, shouldn't you get your money back?

It's more akin to insurance at the blackjack table, it's just gone even though you never needed it.

I'd say justifying anohter's murder because you don't get "free" stuff is way more emotional.

Event: Extremely controversial CEO of a health insurer that is notorious for above average claim denial rates gets killed by crazy guy that is angry at UHC.

Me: This is not shocking.

You: BLOODTHIRST!!!

Wealthy. Must be guilty of something.

Agree or disagree....

If we killed all the truly wealthy people in this world, it would be a better place for commoners?

Clutch those pearls nancy.

We have quite a few of those in this thread. The killing of this dude must hit pretty damn close to home for them.

It’s the simplest explanation for their reaction. They’re thinking back to that questionable denial from a few years ago.

Did you buy insurance at gunpoint?

If you get sick, and don't have it, they let you die. That is pretty damned close to gunpoint.

But they're comfortable making them on public forums, just like they were when someone tried to kill Trump.

It is not in public, its on TD. For the most part its just a comment to draw out some reaction. That is the point of a forum.

he is just showing you what kind of people we have in society. People like him, are lazy, most likely live off the govt, and have it out for anyone that worked hard and made something of themselves.

You’re making a lot of bold and stupid assumptions

The irony of that comment was potent.

Except those commoners would the have some become wealthy. Much like when commies get in control they just become the new wealthy people.

It’s all a power struggle at that point and the power corrupts all.
