I recoiled when I heard that. I'm a somewhat conservative libertarian and this probably would have kept me on my couch. I bet he lost a good number of votes. He should have let Trump talk and just stood pat.

There's absolutely no way to make that judgement and there's absolutely no way to tell how voters are going to behave in any given district. Some of these districts have incumbents who have done a lot for their constituents.
