Palm Beach County Commissioners vote to rename PBIA after President Trump

Palm Beach County commissioners voted 4-3 Tuesday to rename Palm Beach International Airport after President Donald Trump.
At a meeting, county commissioners voted on a naming rights and licensing agreement with a company affiliated with the Trump organization, that will change the airport’s name to “President Donald J. Trump International Airport.”
This, after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law in March approving the name change.
The agreement includes approved branding for the new airport name. It also gives the county a permanent, royalty-free license to use the name for signage, advertising, marketing, merchandise, promotions, and branding for airport operations.
The Federal Aviation Administration still has the final say on the name change. If approved by the FAA, changes would take effect by July 1, 2026.

On the one hand, it’s kind of a podunk airport (for commercial flights, anyway).
On the other hand, it’s Dover South during his admins, and can only think of JFK and IAH as larger airports named after POTUSes. (POTI?)

This is great but a small amount of recognition this man deserves.

Washington Reagan is named after 2 presidents.
