Im assuming this is push back on Trump asking to review the racism at the Smithsonian where many exhibits are tainted with how bad America is in all aspects.

The park service maintains the museums of the Smithsonian.

The black race is the only one that has a museum dedicated to them, though I dont understand how we can be so racist, Id think that building would suffice for racial overtones.

I wish there had never been any slaves in America

The Native American Indians enslaved each other.

quote:

Many Native American tribes have legends about giants, often depicting them as malevolent beings that the tribes had to fight.

For example, the Paiutes spoke of a race of cannibalistic giants known as the Si-Te-Cah, while the Choctaw and Comanche also have stories of giant races they battled upon their arrival in new territories.

These giants enslaved, killed, and ate members of local tribes until they were wiped out.

Slavery has existed worldwide among all races.

The continent of Africa, as well, was no different in enslaving each other.

The Romans had Greek slaves among other conquered peoples.

We are all descended from slaves and from slave owners.

Biggest mistake the founders made was after the Revolution not sending every single African slave back to Africa and banning the importation of slaves. If they could see the harm it caused I believe the would have followed through on it.

There's artwork depicting slavery at national parks?

And still way to the left of JFK Democrats of the 60's.

There is a right wing of authoritarianism....but it still left of 20th Century Democrats.

Consider Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Hitler, Mussolini and Pol Pot for just a few of the tyrants of the 20th Century. Who was further Right?

Mussolini was an ardent communist in the WW1 era even meeting with Lenin in Switzerland. He saw that true communism was doomed to fail and that instead of government ownership of industry, the government needed to align with industry.

Eerily similar to the D's advising US Tech companies to censor and cancel conservatives and do the same for anyone speaking out about Covid.

I mean, it is pretty clear if you take the blinders off.

What blinders? I'm not a Democrat. I really dislike politics and nearly all politicians. I am a Christian that believes in the doctrines of the early church. I trained as a historian. I read and study texts that are supported by evidence. I'm a pretty conservative guy, not a leftist, but I see something that is blatantly wrong, I'm going to point it out.

It's very difficult to compare the left from 70 years ago to the left in 2025. Different eras and many different issues. But what was considered the left in Nazi Germany were the communists. Mussolini was a typical authoritarian. For him, it wasn't about the ideology as much as it was power.

I think most of the leftists in America today would consider the Democrats as moderates that have sold out to corporatism and money. They hate the fact that the Democrats don't support universal healthcare and continue to support bloated military budgets. When it comes to the major issues, they toe the line and fight over stuff that is of less importance. They're all becoming millionaires in office just like Republicans. Hardly socialist. They love money, too.

But you shouldn't worry so much about Democrats. As a party, they are severely beaten. Instead of appealing to middle class workers, they cast their lot with lesbians, gays and trans people. A small voting block with no capital. It was a dumb strategy. Bad, lank messaging. The Republicans outworked them by stacking the judiciary and appealing to middle America, a voting block Dems used to control. They have no real leaders.

And I don't think you have to worry much about real leftists (defined as the group standing against the dominant, traditional power bloc) like what we saw in France in 1789 or with the IRA in Ireland. Leftists in America don't know how to fight like that, and today's military and cyber intelligence would overwhelm them very quickly.

I believe the right in America has won and will enjoy a long reign.
