Exactly. Gone are the days of finding a solid used car for a few grand, so your teen can get started. Let alone one a boy can spend positive time learning how to fix it, etc. Use to be a good way to light a fire under a kid to get a job as it was worth fixing up.
Definitely makes one wonder what was really behind the good ol "kash for klunkers" program.
