What exactly is strange about these pictures?!?! Are you at all familiar with classical ballet, especially in the Russian tradition? Being a native of Slovenia, our FLOTUS is likely to have grown up with a lot of exposure to ballet, classical music, etc.

I don't care for ballet either but that sort of thing has been a Christmas tradition for a hundred years or so.

What I'm familiar with, now, is seeing one person standing alone watching two ballerinas dance around Christmas trees. If that's not a strange scene, I don't know what to tell you.
