I watched a video last night of a NK girl whose family escaped into China, but she lost her mother and father in the process.
Either her father or her friend's father (can't remember which) was executed because they watched a Hollywood produced movie.
The irony there is amazing when you consider how many members of Hollywood would gleefully tell you that the little shite over there is better than the current POTUS and his supporters.

It's totally relevant to a discussion of whether or not his punishment was just. Since the crime was petty theft of a shitty banner the punishment of being tortured into catatonia is completely unjust and absurd. But if the crime had been sexual abuse of a child, I wouldn't care. So what he did is definitely relevant because the punishment didn't fit the crime at all.

His parents did fail him though. I'm a parent and I'd never allow my child to go to North fricking Korea. This sort of thinking is the sort of "everything's relative, nobody is responsible for anything" tripe that has our country in the shape it's in. Call a spade a spade.

There's nothing "clever" about it. It's the least clever analysis there is. It's just straight-forward: don't try to be the "cool", permissive parents. Put your damn foot down. Be willing to risk having your kid be mad at you for a while in order to do what's right by them.

America made a terrible mistake handing the leadership of this country to the likes of Bill Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama. Both these men should be in jail for essentially giving North Korea (through China) the technology to upgrade their military, build and perfect their nuclear bomb, and ICBM capability.
I am convinced North Korea will launch a nuclear attack on mainland America. Whether we are able to stop some of the incoming ICBM's remains to be seen. As it applies to dealing with North Korea previous administrations have simply waved the white flag, gave NK what they wanted, and kicked the can down the road. The can is now in our lap.......yours and mine.
But all is not lost. We have a determined leader in Donald J. Trump. He will not be intimidated by this tyrant. Time to pay the fiddler.

I feel sorry for that young man and his family, BUT...
my uncle survived the Pusan Perimeter and was wounded during the breakout with the 7th Cavalry...
I spent 14 months one day in beautiful, downtown Chun Chon as a Honest John launcher and later A&T section commander...
I have one question for this young man's parents, ARE YOU THAT STUPID TO LET YOUR SON GO TO NORTH KOREA?????!!!!!
my uncle survived the Pusan Perimeter and was wounded during the breakout with the 7th Cavalry...
I spent 14 months one day in beautiful, downtown Chun Chon as a Honest John launcher and later A&T section commander...

The prisoners actually looked forward to the Chinese taking over the prison camps. Said the Chinese guards treated them so much better than the Korean guards.
